The 3 things I wish someone told me before starting my first business
Most people overcomplicate starting a business. They spend months on logos, LLCs, and business plans that never see daylight.
Here's what actually matters when you're starting from zero:
1. Pick a problem, not a passion. Passion fades. Problems pay. Find something people are already spending money to solve, then figure out how to solve it better or cheaper.
2. Sell before you build. Don't spend 6 months building something nobody wants. Put together a simple offer, pitch it to 10 people, and see if anyone bites. If they don't, pivot. If they do, you have a business.
3. Revenue is the only metric that matters early on. Forget followers, forget impressions. The only number that proves your business works is money in the bank. Everything else is a vanity metric.
I've been teaching complete beginners how to start their first online business, and these three principles are what separate the people who launch from the people who stay stuck in "research mode" forever.
If you're ready to stop planning and start doing, I built a course that walks you through the entire process step by step.
