5 Windows settings killing your FPS right now

Most gamers are leaving 20-40% of their FPS on the table because of default Windows settings. Here's what to check:

1. Game DVR is recording everything

Windows Game Bar runs background recording by default. This eats GPU resources. Settings → Gaming → Captures → turn off background recording.

2. Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling is off

HAGS offloads scheduling work from your CPU to GPU. Free performance on most modern GPUs. Settings → Display → Graphics → turn it on.

3. Power plan is set to "Balanced"

Balanced throttles your CPU. Switch to High Performance or create an Ultimate Performance plan.

4. Nagle's Algorithm is adding latency

This TCP optimization batches small packets — terrible for gaming. Disable it in the registry for your network adapter.

5. Timer Resolution is at default 15.6ms

Windows processes input in 15.6ms intervals. Dropping to 0.5ms makes inputs noticeably snappier.

These are just the basics. FPS Boost Pro automates all of this (and 10+ more optimizations) with one click.

Stop leaving frames on the table.
