A lot of professionals abroad think a B1 certificate is enough to get hired in Germany.

It isn't.

Hiring managers don't grade your exam. They decide in the first five minutes whether you can hold a meeting, answer a tough interview question, and not freeze when small talk starts.

The gap is not vocabulary lists. It is this:

• You can read a job ad, but you cannot sell yourself in German for 20 minutes.

• You can pass a test, but you hedge every sentence with "vielleicht" and "ich denke."

• You practiced grammar alone. You never practiced being interrupted.

If you want a German-speaking job, train the interview, not the textbook.
