GexTV: Gamma Levels That Matter, Right on TradingView

Stop switching tabs or manually copying options levels. While Pine Script runs inside TradingView's sandbox and cannot pull the external options data needed to keep Gamma current, GexTV brings options-derived Gamma structure directly onto your active TradingView chart. See the levels that matter, right where you trade.

GexTV is a Chrome extension that reads the approved GexTV snapshot, maps the structure to the active TradingView chart, and keeps data quality visible when a level should be trusted, watched, or withheld.

What GexTV shows

  • Zero Gamma, Call Wall, and Put Wall

  • Full strike-level Gamma distribution with Latest, Next, and 90 Days views

  • TradingView live price beside the Gamma snapshot price

  • Distance to the nearest upper and lower walls

  • Positive or negative Gamma environment

  • Conditional upside and downside routes

  • Wall movement across 1, 5, and 15 minutes

  • Candidate, Confirmed, Moving, and Withdrawn wall states

  • Fresh, Delayed, Stale, and Gap data-quality status

The goal is to keep the chart readable while showing which levels still matter, which ones are moving, and when the data no longer supports a live route.

Dense Zones, Pivot Levels, and derived references

A single strike does not always describe the most important area. GexTV can identify concentrated Gamma clusters between the Put Wall and Call Wall and show their boundaries, weighted center, relative intensity, and polarity. A nearby Pivot Level can be derived from the strongest relevant concentration. These are secondary references: the three official walls and Zero Gamma remain primary, and derived zones are withheld when the snapshot is stale, incomplete, or inconsistent.

In the expanded panel, GexTV also exposes panel-first **Derived Net GEX** rankings. It can show positive and negative Top 3 strikes, the selected Volume/OI basis, signed Net GEX, same-sign share, and a lightweight Call Wall / Put Wall alignment cue. `Aligned`, `Near`, and `No alignment` are only shown when freshness, basis, and profile data are comparable; otherwise the panel says `Insufficient data`.

The derived chart reference layer is opt-in. When enabled, it uses short dashed rays, hollow labels, and low opacity so official walls keep visual priority. Across light and dark TradingView themes, the labels use a deeper translucent background, outlined borders, subtle text contrast, and a small 8×8 marker. It remains a reference layer and never rewrites Call Wall, Put Wall, or Zero Gamma.

TradingView workflow

GexTV supports professional multi-chart use:

  • Workspace groups for all charts, A–D groups, or independent tabs

  • Saved and restored time windows with same-layout tab isolation

  • Optional time-window synchronization while each chart keeps its own price scale

  • Grouped chart screenshots

  • Up to three visible live GexTV charts per account

  • Same-page multi-pane overlays with a safe fallback to the active chart

  • Quick wall-line and strike-profile controls that remain usable after TradingView reloads or host DOM updates

Start with four short courses

Courses now provide a guided path in English and Chinese:

  1. Install the extension and activate with Whop.

  2. Read only the three primary lines first: Zero Gamma, Call Wall, and Put Wall.

  3. Open supported futures charts and understand the options-to-futures mapping.

  4. Diagnose stale data, gaps, contract mismatch, and missing overlays.

The community discussion area also has a pinned explanation covering the same workflow. This keeps the first session focused on the three primary lines before introducing Derived Net GEX, Alignment Lite, Dense Zones, or Pivot Levels.

Supported futures mappings include ES/MES, NQ/MNQ, RTY/M2K, YM/MYM, GC/MGC, and SI/SIL when a reliable mapping is available. These are options-derived levels mapped onto the corresponding futures price axis; they are not presented as native futures-options positioning. If the mapping, current contract, or data quality cannot be verified, GexTV withholds the overlay.

Data discipline

GexTV continuously checks freshness, continuity, snapshot quality, and chart-price consistency. When Stale or Gap data pauses a route, the panel explains that fresh Gamma is primarily an intraday input. Old snapshots can still support the classic three-wall view where the contract allows it, but they do not become current routes or derived alignment cues.

GexTV is an analytical market-structure tool. It does not provide investment advice, trade execution, or guaranteed trading outcomes. Early Access validation continues across futures contracts, rollover periods, multi-chart layouts, themes, and longer trading sessions.

GexTV: Gamma Structure, Directly on TradingView

Most GEX tools live in a separate dashboard, forcing traders to switch tabs and manually copy important levels into their charts.

Pine Script indicators have a different limitation: they run inside TradingView’s sandbox and cannot directly retrieve the external options data required to keep Gamma levels continuously updated.

GexTV solves this as a Chrome extension.

It brings options-derived Gamma structure directly onto your TradingView chart, so you can monitor important levels without leaving your trading workspace.

More than three static lines

GexTV displays:

  • Zero Gamma

  • Call Wall and Put Wall

  • Full strike-level Gamma distribution

  • Latest, Next, and 90 Days expiration views

  • TradingView live price versus GEX snapshot price

  • Distance to the nearest upper and lower walls

  • Positive or negative Gamma environment

  • Conditional upside and downside routes

  • Wall movement across 1, 5, and 15 minutes

  • Candidate, Confirmed, Moving, and Withdrawn wall states

  • Fresh, Delayed, Stale, and Gap data-quality status

The goal is not to fill the chart with more lines. It is to show which levels still matter, which ones are moving, and which ones should no longer be trusted.

Dense Zones and Pivot Levels

A single strike does not always capture the most important area on the chart.

GexTV analyzes the visible strike-level Gamma distribution to identify concentrated Gamma clusters between the Put Wall and Call Wall.

These Dense Zones show:

  • Where Gamma exposure is locally concentrated

  • The upper and lower boundary of the concentration

  • The weighted center of the zone

  • Relative intensity compared with other nearby clusters

  • Whether the concentration is positive or negative

GexTV can also derive a nearby Pivot Level from the strongest relevant concentration.

Dense Zones and Pivot Levels are secondary structure. Call Wall, Put Wall, and Zero Gamma remain the primary reference levels. Derived zones are automatically withheld when the underlying data is stale, incomplete, or unreliable.

Futures Chart Support

GexTV can display mapped Gamma structure on supported TradingView futures charts, including:

  • ES and MES

  • NQ and MNQ

  • RTY and M2K

  • YM and MYM

  • GC and MGC

  • SI and SIL

Additional products can appear dynamically when a reliable mapping is available.

The Gamma structure is translated onto the corresponding futures price axis, allowing the levels to align with the futures chart you are trading.

These are options-derived levels mapped to futures prices. They are not presented as native futures-options positioning.

When the required mapping is unavailable, stale, or inconsistent with the current TradingView contract, GexTV withholds the overlay instead of drawing potentially misleading levels.

Built for intraday decision-making

Gamma structure can help explain whether the market is more likely to rotate around an important level or accelerate after a break.

For short-duration and 0DTE traders, the important question is not only where a wall is.

It is also:

  • Is the wall stable?

  • Is it moving toward or away from price?

  • Has it survived several updates?

  • Is it being withdrawn?

  • Has price been accepted beyond it?

  • Is the data still fresh enough to use?

GexTV keeps this context visible directly on the chart.

Multi-chart Workspace

GexTV also supports professional TradingView workflows across multiple tabs and chart layouts.

You can:

  • Organize charts into Workspace groups

  • Keep selected charts independent

  • Synchronize chart time windows

  • Save and restore chart views

  • Capture grouped chart screenshots

  • Use up to three visible live GexTV charts per account

Designed to fail safely

GexTV continuously checks data freshness, continuity, snapshot quality, and chart-price consistency.

When the data cannot support a reliable conclusion, the affected walls, routes, Dense Zones, and Pivot Levels are reduced or hidden rather than displayed as current information.

Early Access

GexTV is currently available in Early Access.

Why I built GexTV as a Chrome extension instead of a TradingView indicator

Most GEX tools force traders to choose between a separate dashboard and a Pine Script indicator.

Dashboards require constant tab switching. Pine Script runs inside TradingView’s sandbox, so it cannot directly retrieve the live options data needed to calculate and update Gamma levels.

GexTV takes a different approach.

It is a Chrome extension that brings GEX structure directly onto the TradingView chart, including:

  • Zero Gamma, Call Wall, and Put Wall

  • Full strike-level Gamma distribution

  • Latest, Next, and 90 Days expiration views

  • TradingView live price versus GEX snapshot price

  • Wall distance, Gamma environment, and conditional routes

  • Wall movement tracking across 1, 5, and 15 minutes

  • Fresh, Delayed, Stale, and Gap data-quality protection

  • Candidate, Confirmed, Moving, and Withdrawn wall states

The goal is not simply to draw more lines. It is to show whether a level is stable, moving, stale, or no longer reliable.

What is new in V0.14.1

GexTV is now testing GEXBot’s official futures price-axis support:

  • ES and MES use the official ES_SPX mapping

  • NQ and MNQ use the official NQ_NDX mapping

  • Walls and strike distributions remain on the returned futures price axis

  • GexTV stops drawing when the TradingView contract price and GEX snapshot price are clearly on different axes

These are SPX/NDX options Gamma structures mapped to ES/NQ price axes. They should not be confused with native CME futures-options GEX.

Why this matters for intraday traders

Gamma structure can help explain whether the market is more likely to remain range-bound around an important level or accelerate after a break.

For 0DTE traders, the important question is not only where a wall is. It is whether that wall is holding, migrating, being withdrawn, or becoming unreliable as the session develops.

GexTV keeps that context on the chart, without manually copying strikes or switching between TradingView and another dashboard during a trade.

V0.14.1 is still undergoing live-market validation, particularly for ES/NQ contracts, multi-chart layouts, and rollover behavior.

Why I built a Chrome extension instead of a TradingView indicator for GEX

Most GEX (Gamma Exposure) tools out there are either a separate dashboard you have to tab-switch to, or a Pine Script indicator that can't pull in live options chain data because TradingView sandboxes what indicators can access.

So I built GexTV as a Chrome extension instead. It overlays gamma flip levels, call/put walls, and dealer positioning directly on top of your TradingView chart — no tab switching, no manual copy-pasting strikes into a notebook mid-trade.

Why this matters for 0DTE/SPX traders specifically: gamma exposure is the single biggest driver of intraday chop vs. trend days. When dealers are long gamma, price tends to pin toward the flip level. When they're short gamma, moves accelerate. If you're trading same-day expiry, knowing which regime you're in before you place a trade changes everything about how you size and where you set stops.

Still early days — refining the overlay accuracy and adding more strike-level granularity. If you trade 0DTE/SPX and want to try it, would genuinely love feedback.
