Most Roblox GFX looks the same — default lighting, basic poses, flat backgrounds.

Here's what separates mid renders from ones that actually get noticed:

  1. Lighting is everything. Stop using the default studio lighting. Use rim lights to separate your character from the background. Add colored light sources for mood. One key light + one fill + one rim = instant upgrade.

  1. Camera angle matters more than you think. Low angle = power. High angle = vulnerability. Dutch tilt = chaos. Pick an angle that tells a story.

  1. Background isn't an afterthought. Build a simple environment or use a high-quality HDRI. A character floating in empty space screams beginner.

  1. Post-processing in Photoshop. Color grading, chromatic aberration, grain, bloom — these small touches make renders feel polished and cinematic.

I run GFX Studio where we do live rendering events, workshops, and challenges to level up your GFX game. If you want to go from hobby renders to portfolio-quality work, come through.
