QuickBooks isn't why bills get missed
Most small business owners I talk to don't have a software problem. They have a due-date problem.
QuickBooks will show you a pretty dashboard. It will not sit down on the 14th and pay the vendor who invoices net-15, or flag that the insurance auto-pay failed, or notice you skipped last month's sales tax because you were on a job site.
The owners who never miss a due date do three boring things every week:
One inbox for money out. Every vendor bill, ACH, and card statement lands in the same place. Not email. Not a desk pile. One list.
Due dates before categories. Categorizing is tax-time work. Paying on time is this-week work. Flip the order and late fees drop fast.
A 20-minute Friday pass. Open the list. Pay what's due in 7 days. Flag anything waiting on a W-9 or an approval. Close the laptop.
If that still doesn't happen, the software isn't the bottleneck. The owner is still the bookkeeper. That's the job GhostBill takes.
