The item build mistake that's capping 90% of Mythic players
Been coaching MLBB players for a while now and the #1 thing separating Mythic from Mythical Glory isn't mechanics — it's itemization discipline.
Most players build a "standard" set for their hero and never touch it again, regardless of the enemy comp. That's the leak.
Quick framework I teach every student:
1. First 2 items = your hero's identity. Core damage/utility items that define your role. Don't deviate here.
2. Items 3-6 = the enemy's answer. Ask: who's their biggest threat right now? A fed assassin diving your backline? A tank stacking HP that shrugs off your damage? Items 3 onward should directly counter that.
3. Re-evaluate every death. If you died to the same hero/combo twice, that's a signal to adjust — not bad luck.
Players who track this consciously climb noticeably faster than those who just "play more games." Rank isn't just mechanical skill, it's decision-making under the same information everyone else has.
Happy to break down specific hero builds if anyone wants to drop their main in the comments.
