Why we made event stream processing writable in markdown

Most event stream processing tools require you to learn Kafka, write consumer groups, manage partitions, handle backpressure, and debug distributed systems at 3am.

We asked: what if you could describe what you want in plain English?

That's what Goldclaw does. You write three markdown files:

  • PROCEDURES.md — what your system can do (actions + checks)

  • WORKFLOW.md — what happens step by step

  • MODULES.md — how the pieces connect

Goldclaw reads those files and builds the entire system. OTP supervision trees under the hood mean if a process crashes, it restarts automatically. Your streams keep flowing.

Real example: SOS.Support runs 24/7 AI phone support for an enterprise hardware company using just three markdown files. It handles STT, TTS, intent analysis, and LLM free-chat — zero traditional code.
