The 3 mistakes keeping you skinny (and how to fix them)
Most guys who struggle to build muscle are making the same 3 mistakes. I've coached hundreds of lifters through them — here's the breakdown:
1. You're not eating enough (and you think you are)
Track your food for one week. Actually track it. Most "hard gainers" are eating 1,800 calories and wondering why the scale won't move. If you're under 180lbs and trying to grow, you need 2,800-3,200 minimum.
2. You're program hopping
You don't need a new split every 4 weeks. You need progressive overload on compound movements, tracked consistently for 12+ weeks. Pick a program. Stick with it. Add weight to the bar.
3. You're training like a bodybuilder but recovering like a college student
Sleep 7-8 hours. Manage stress. Eat protein every 3-4 hours. The gym is the stimulus — recovery is where you actually grow.
Fix these three things and you'll make more progress in 3 months than most guys make in a year.
If you want the full system — training programs, nutrition guidance, and a community of guys doing the same thing — GritHouse Training is where it happens.
