Most Halloween STLs look great on a desk and fold in the first wind once you put them in a yard.

I print yard props on hobby machines (Bambu / Creality / Prusa). The files that last through October share three boring decisions:

Walls, not infill. 1.2–1.6mm walls (3 perimeters at 0.4mm) beat 30% infill every time. Wind loads the shell. Infill just makes it heavier so it tips.

Split for the bed you actually own. A 400mm raven does not belong on a 256mm plate as one piece. Cut at a seam you can hide with a peg, not through the face.

PETG + a drain hole. PLA gets brittle after a cold night. Hollow prints without a drain collect rain and split from the inside.

If a print is warping at hour 6, it's usually first-layer temp and brim, not "the STL is bad." Photo of the skirt tells you in 10 seconds.

That's the bar I design to. Indoor collectibles can be thinner. Anything that sits on grass cannot.
