Yard props fail outdoors for three boring reasons

Most Halloween yard prints look great on the bed and die on the lawn by week two. Not because the model is bad. Because outdoor PLA is a different job.

1. Walls that are too thin. A 1.2 mm wall on a tombstone will crack the first cold night. I design yard pieces for 3 walls minimum and a 20–25% infill. If you scale a bust up to 400%, bump walls before you bump infill.

2. PLA in the sun. PLA will slump on a warm porch. PETG or ASA for anything that sits outside more than a weekend. If you only have PLA, print the piece as a shell and keep it under cover.

3. No drain path. Hollow props collect rain. One hole at the lowest point, 8–10 mm, facing down. Skip it and you get a water balloon that splits at the seam.

I built HauntForge around print-ready Halloween props for hobby FDM machines, plus a separate one-hour live session if the printer is the actual problem. Files and repair are not the same product on purpose.
