3 things I wish someone told me before I started my business
Building a business as a woman comes with its own set of challenges — and honestly, most of the advice out there isn't built for us.
Here are 3 things that would've saved me months of frustration:
1. Your network is your net worth (literally)
The women around you will become your first customers, your referral partners, and the people who keep you going when it gets hard. Invest in community early.
2. Stop perfecting, start shipping
Your first version doesn't need to be perfect. It needs to exist. The women who are winning right now aren't the most talented — they're the ones who showed up consistently.
3. Price for profit, not approval
Undercharging doesn't make you more likeable. It makes you broke. Know your value and charge accordingly.
I built HerEmpire because I needed a space like this when I was starting out — a room full of women who get it. No fluff, no gatekeeping, just real strategy and accountability.
It's free. Come build with us.
