How I turned one anniversary cake into a home bakery
A few months ago I baked a cake for my parents' anniversary — no plans to sell anything, just wanted to make the day special. Everyone who tried it kept asking where I "ordered" it from. That's the whole reason Homemade Crumbs exists now.
If you're thinking about ordering a custom cake (from us or anywhere), here's what actually helps the baker get it right:
Tell us the occasion — anniversary, birthday, get-well, just-because. It changes the flavor and design suggestions we give you.
Give a headcount, not just a "size." "8-10 people" is more useful than "medium," since layers and pan sizes vary a lot.
Order 2-3 days ahead if you want a custom design. Fresh, made-to-order cakes need lead time — we're not a shelf full of pre-made options, everything's baked after you order.
Flavor first, decoration second. A gorgeous cake that doesn't taste great is a one-time customer. We'll always steer you toward flavor combos that hold up.
Our menu starts at ₹40 for pastries and ₹250 for a one-layer cake, scaling up from there based on size/flavor — message us anytime for a quote on something bigger.
Excited to be part of this community. If you've got a celebration coming up, I'd love to bake for it.
