I've helped students build income streams while juggling classes, and these are the 3 models that consistently work:

1. Service-based freelancing

Pick a skill that takes <2 weeks to learn (copywriting, thumbnail design, short-form editing). Offer it to small businesses on Twitter/IG DMs. You can land your first client within 7 days if you actually put in the reps. No portfolio needed — just make samples for free and show them off.

2. Digital product flipping

Create a simple template, guide, or resource pack. Notion templates, resume builders, study planners — stuff students already need. List it on Whop and promote it in relevant communities. One good product can pay your rent on autopilot.

3. Paid community / coaching

Once you've gotten results with #1 or #2, document what you did. Package that knowledge and sell access to it. People pay for shortcuts — if you've done the thing, you can teach the thing.

The key with all 3: start before you feel ready. The students who win are the ones who ship something ugly this week instead of planning something perfect next month.
