If your first SAT score disappointed you, stop doing untimed practice
Most retakers I see do the same six weeks: Khan videos, untimed problem sets, then another Saturday that looks like the first one.
The second score does not move because the first score was never diagnosed.
Do this instead:
Write three numbers: total, Reading & Writing, Math. Circle the weaker section. That section is the only thing you train for two weeks.
Every drill is timed. Phone in another room. Score it the same day.
Every miss gets one label: content, timing, or careless. If three misses share a label, that is your week. Not "study SAT." That one leak.
Careless is the silent killer. If that is your bucket, you do not need more content. You need a slower first 10 questions and a written check on signs and units.
Ten days out, no new tricks. Timed sections and review only. The morning of the test, do not watch a YouTube strategy video in the parking lot.
A retake is a protocol. Treat it like one.
