For years, I thought the problem with my swimming was me.

I thought I wasn’t coordinated enough.
Not relaxed enough.
Not fit enough.
Not talented enough.

So I did what most frustrated swimmers do:
I tried harder.

More lessons.
More YouTube videos.
More advice.
More technique corrections.
More comparison.

And the harder I tried to swim like everyone else, the worse swimming seemed to feel.

What I eventually realised changed everything:

Nobody had ever asked me to swim my way.

That insight became the foundation of something I’ve been developing quietly for years — the Intuitive Swimming Method — a different way of thinking about swimming, learning and movement.

Not another rigid technique system.
Not another list of drills.
Not another promise of “perfect form”.

Instead, an approach built around experimentation, awareness, observation and developing your own relationship with the water.

Over time, those ideas became a book.

I’m very excited (and slightly terrified) to say that:

“WHY SWIMMING FEELS HARD — Stop Copying, Stop Struggling, Start Swimming Your Way”

will be launching soon on Amazon.

The book is for frustrated adult swimmers who:

  • feel stuck despite trying hard

  • overthink technique constantly

  • feel self-conscious or tense in the water

  • compare themselves endlessly to stronger swimmers

  • secretly wonder whether they’re simply “not built” for swimming

Most importantly, it’s for people who are tired of fighting themselves every time they swim.

This book has grown out of years of struggle, experimentation, teaching, reflection and conversations with swimmers who believed they were the problem.

They weren’t.

And maybe you aren’t either.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more extracts, ideas and stories from the book before launch.

For now, though, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s encouraged me, listened to me ramble about swimming philosophy, or supported this work along the way.

It genuinely means a lot.
