The 3 mistakes every beginner makes in the gym (and what to do instead)

I've coached hundreds of beginners and the same three things hold almost everyone back.

Mistake #1: Program hopping. You do PPL for 2 weeks, switch to bro splits, then try Starting Strength. None of them work because you never gave any of them time. Pick one program. Run it for 12 weeks minimum. That's how you actually see results.

Mistake #2: Ego lifting. Nobody in the gym is watching you. Drop the weight by 20%, nail your form, and you'll grow faster than the guy quarter-squatting 3 plates. Controlled reps build muscle. Momentum builds injuries.

Mistake #3: Ignoring recovery. Training is the stimulus. Growth happens when you sleep, eat, and rest. If you're training 6 days a week on 5 hours of sleep and fast food, you're fighting yourself.

The fix is simple: follow a proven program, leave your ego at the door, and treat recovery like it's part of your training — because it is.

I built Iron Protocol specifically for people who are done guessing and ready to train with a plan. If that sounds like you, come check it out.
