Most app ideas fail before a single line of code is written
Here's why — and how to avoid it.
After building dozens of apps for clients, the #1 pattern I see with failed projects isn't bad code. It's bad scoping.
People jump straight into development without answering three critical questions:
1. What's the ONE thing this app needs to do well?
Not five features. Not a "platform." One core action that solves a real problem. Everything else is v2.
2. Who's paying for this — and why?
If you can't explain the value in one sentence to a stranger, your app won't sell itself either.
3. What's the fastest way to test the idea?
Sometimes a landing page + waitlist tells you more than a $10K prototype. Don't build what you can validate.
We scope every project through this lens before writing any code. It saves our clients time, money, and heartbreak.
