Why I started charging monthly for window cleaning instead of per-visit

Most window cleaners in my area quote per-job. I switched to a flat monthly plan ($49/mo) and it's been a better deal for both sides.

Here's why:

  • Customers stop thinking about scheduling. No one has to remember to call again in 3 months — it just happens.

  • Windows never get bad enough to need a 'deep clean' upcharge. Regular maintenance is genuinely faster to perform than restoring neglected glass, so the margin holds even at a lower price.

  • Predictable income beats one-off jobs. I know my monthly revenue before the month starts, which makes it way easier to plan routes and buy supplies in bulk.

If you're in a service business still pricing per-job, I'd think hard about whether a subscription model fits — it changed how I run mine.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's thinking about doing the same for their own service business.
