Most Halloween STLs fail on FDM because they were modeled for resin
If you've ever downloaded a "yard prop" skull that printed like a brittle eggshell, this is why.
Resin models get away with 1mm walls, tiny unsupported teeth, and one solid piece. An Ender or a Bambu does not. On FDM those files warp, string, or snap the first time you carry them to the lawn.
What actually survives outside:
2.4–3.2mm walls on anything bigger than a hand
Split at the weakest joint so you can print parts flat
45° max overhangs, or add a real brace, not a 0.2mm "support" the designer forgot to mention
A 5–8mm brim on large bases. Halloween week is cold garages and lifting corners.
I started LayerLab because I was tired of buying packs that look great in a render and die on layer 40. The Halloween pack is sliced around FDM constraints first. If your printer is the thing that's broken — clog, first layer, heat creep — that's a different job, and I sell that as a one-hour live session, not as "lifetime access" buried in a file dump.
Print the tombstone first. If that one stands, the rest of the pack will.
