The 3 things I tell every adult who says "I can't dance"
I've been teaching dance for years, and the #1 thing I hear from adults is: "I have two left feet."
Here's the truth — you don't have a coordination problem. You have a confidence problem. And that's 100% fixable.
1. Rhythm is learned, not inherited.
Nobody is born knowing how to move on beat. It's a skill, like driving or cooking. You practice, you get better. Period.
2. You don't need to look cool right away.
The best dancers in the world looked ridiculous at some point. The difference? They kept going. Give yourself permission to be awkward for a few weeks.
3. Your body already knows more than you think.
You nod your head to music. You tap your foot. You sway without thinking. That IS dancing — we're just going to build on it.
I built Leading Dance specifically for adults who've always wanted to learn but never knew where to start. Step-by-step video lessons, a supportive community, and zero judgment.
If that's you — come dance with us.
