Week 1 breakdown 2: inverted fullback vs 4-4-2 mid-block
Founding-member draft.
An inverted fullback next to a 6 against a 4-4-2 mid-block should create a 3v2 in the first line. If the near 8 does not occupy the half-space, the 4-4-2 just shuffles and you have extra bodies with no advantage.
Homework: mark three inverted-fullback possessions in a recent UCL match. Did the 8 pin the 8, or did they both sit?
