The remote worker's guide to fixing your back (without a physio)

8 hours a day in a chair is destroying your spine. Most people don't notice until the pain becomes chronic.

Here's what actually works:

1. Break the 90° trap. Standard office chairs force your hips to 90°. This compresses your lumbar discs over time. A slight recline (100-110°) reduces spinal pressure by up to 30%.

2. Heat therapy > stretching. Stretching helps, but targeted heat to the lumbar region increases blood flow and relaxes deep muscles that stretching can't reach.

3. Invest in Shiatsu. Not all massage is equal. Shiatsu uses pressure-point targeting that mimics deep tissue work. A good massage chair can deliver this daily — no appointments needed.

4. The 25/5 rule. Every 25 minutes, shift position for 5. Your discs need movement to absorb nutrients. Static sitting is the real enemy.

We built Luxe Recline because we were tired of $200 'ergonomic' chairs that don't solve the problem. A real solution combines recline angle, heat, and deep massage — every single day.

If you work from home and your back is paying the price, this is what we do.
