Why you can't focus (it's not discipline)

You've tried everything. Pomodoro timers. Website blockers. "Just one more video" turned into 2 hours. You think the problem is willpower. It's not.

The problem is neurochemistry.

Every time you scroll, your brain releases a small hit of dopamine. Do this thousands of times a day and your dopamine receptors downregulate — they become less sensitive. Now the things that SHOULD motivate you (deep work, exercise, reading, building) feel boring. Not because they are boring, but because your brain's reward threshold is artificially elevated.

This is why you can watch 3 hours of TikTok but can't read for 20 minutes. Same brain. Different dopamine baseline.

The fix isn't more willpower. It's a systematic reduction of cheap dopamine sources so your receptors can recalibrate. Takes about 7 days of intentional protocols.

I built a system for this. Each day targets a specific dopamine source with clear rules, replacement behaviors, and the neuroscience behind why it works. No motivation quotes. No "just believe in yourself." Just the protocol.

If your focus is cooked and you know it, this is how you fix it.
