The dating app pattern nobody talks about
I've coached enough women through their dating lives to notice the same pattern over and over: it's not that you're bad at dating. It's that you're optimized for the first date, not the relationship.
Most advice out there is about getting the match, getting the date, getting the text back. But the women who actually end up in healthy, committed relationships aren't the ones with the best opening line — they're the ones who stopped abandoning their own standards the second someone showed interest.
Here's the tell: if you find yourself re-reading a text for the 4th time trying to decode what he "really meant," that's not romantic tension. That's anxiety doing the work confidence should be doing.
The fix isn't a better bio or a new app. It's rebuilding the internal baseline so you're not auditioning for people who haven't earned a callback. That's the whole game — and it's learnable.
If you're in the thick of the app cycle right now, ask yourself this week: am I choosing this person, or am I just relieved someone chose me?
