Ran a UFC picks page for a while before I systematized it. Here's the pattern I kept seeing — in my own page and a dozen others I watched shut down:

What actually fixes it:

1. A repeatable main card breakdown method — not "who do you like," but a structured way to grade style matchups, recent form, and fight IQ for every card, every week. Consistency builds trust more than any single win.

2. Outreach that doesn't sound like a spam bot — most DM scripts in this space are embarrassing. A good script leads with value (a free breakdown) before ever mentioning price.

3. An actual objection handling map — "how do I know you're legit," "why should I pay when I can find free picks," "what if this card goes bad" — these come up every single week. If you're improvising answers in the moment, you're losing sales you should be closing.

4. A retention hub, not just a chat — engagement between fight weeks is what separates a business from a Discord server that dies in the offseason.
