šļø Monday Discipline Check ā Your Body Funds Your Trading
Your edge in the markets starts before the charts even open.
Wake up early. Not when you feel like it ā when the alarm hits. 5AM, 6AM, whatever you set. No snooze. The discipline you build in that first 5 seconds of the day carries into every trade you take.
Get your steps in. 10,000 minimum. Walk before your session, walk after. Clear your head, process your trades, reset your emotions. The best traders I know don't sit in a chair for 14 hours straight ā they move.
Hit the gym. You don't need to be a bodybuilder. But you need to train your body the same way you train your chart eye ā consistently. 3-4x a week minimum. Lift heavy, push yourself, build that mental toughness.
Why this matters for trading:
Waking up early = discipline to follow your rules
Daily steps = emotional regulation between sessions
Gym consistency = proof to yourself that you can stick to a plan
Trading is a performance game. You wouldn't expect an athlete to compete without training their body. Don't expect to perform in the markets if you're sleeping until noon, skipping meals, and never moving.
This week's challenge:
Wake up at the same time every day ā no exceptions
Hit 10K steps daily
Get at least 3 gym sessions in
Drop a šŖ in the comments if you're locking in this week. No excuses.
