The 3 mistakes killing most new traders (and what to do instead)

After years of trading and teaching, I see the same three patterns destroy new traders before they even get started.

1. Trading without a plan

Most beginners open a chart, see a candle they like, and click buy. That's not trading — that's gambling. Every entry should have a thesis, a target, and an exit plan before you click anything.

2. Ignoring risk management

You don't need to win every trade. You need to make sure your losses don't wipe out your gains. If you're risking more than 1-2% of your account on a single trade, you're one bad week away from blowing up.

3. Chasing indicators instead of understanding price

No indicator will make you profitable. They're tools, not strategies. Learn to read price action, understand market structure, and the indicators become useful context — not crutches.

The traders who actually make it? They're boring. They have a system, they follow it, and they don't chase. Consistency > excitement.

I built MarketMind to teach exactly this — structured education, real strategies, and 1:1 mentorship. No signals, no hype, just skill development.
