The 3-Exercise Rule That Changed My Training
Most people in the gym are doing too much. 12 exercises, 90 minutes, 6 days a week — and wondering why they're burnt out and not progressing.
Here's what actually works when you're short on time:
Pick 3 compound movements per session. That's it.
A push (bench press, overhead press)
A pull (rows, pull-ups)
A lower body movement (squat, deadlift, lunge)
Hit each for 3-4 hard sets. Progressive overload every week. Get out in 40 minutes.
I've been coaching busy professionals for years, and the ones who see the best results aren't the ones spending the most time in the gym — they're the ones who train consistently with a focused plan.
If you want a full structured program built around this philosophy, I put together the Complete Training Program on Mehrok Fitness. Efficient routines, clear progression, no fluff.
