5 Liqueurs Every Home Bar Needs (and What to Make With Them)

Most home bars have vodka, gin, and whiskey covered. But liqueurs? That's where cocktails go from decent to unforgettable.

Here are the 5 I'd start with:

1. Cointreau (Orange Liqueur)

The backbone of Margaritas, Sidecars, and Cosmopolitans. Nothing replaces a quality triple sec.

2. Campari

Bitter, bold, and irreplaceable. You need it for a Negroni, an Americano, or a Boulevardier.

3. Amaretto

Almond-forward, sweet, and incredibly versatile. Amaretto Sour is the crowd-pleaser, but try it in a Godfather with Scotch.

4. Chartreuse (Green)

130 herbs, made by monks, tastes like nothing else. Essential for a Last Word.

5. St-Germain (Elderflower)

The bartender's ketchup — it makes everything taste better. Add it to gin & tonics or any citrus cocktail for instant elegance.

Start with these five and you can make 30+ classic cocktails. That's a real bar.
