3 Banking Tricks Your Bank Doesn't Want You to Know
Most people let their bank make money off them without even realizing it. Here are 3 things I wish someone told me years ago:
1. High-yield savings accounts are free money
Your regular savings account probably earns 0.01% interest. A high-yield account earns 4-5%. On $10,000, that's the difference between $1/year and $500/year. Same money, different account. It takes 10 minutes to switch.
2. Overdraft "protection" is a trap
Banks charge $35 every time you overdraft. That "protection" is actually a high-interest micro-loan you never asked for. Turn it off and link a backup account instead.
3. You're probably paying invisible fees
Monthly maintenance fees, ATM fees, paper statement fees — most people don't even notice them. One audit of your statements could save you $100-200/year.
These aren't secrets. They're just things nobody teaches you in school.
I built Money Mastery to change that. It's a community where we break down how banking, saving, and investing actually work — in plain English, no jargon.
If you're tired of feeling lost when it comes to money, this is for you.
