The 3 marketing channels actually worth your time if you're starting from zero
Most beginner entrepreneurs waste months bouncing between 15 different marketing tactics. I've tested dozens and here's what I keep coming back to when starting from scratch:
1. Short-form video (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)
Zero cost, massive reach, and you don't need followers to go viral. The algorithm rewards good content, not big accounts. Start posting daily and iterate based on what gets traction.
2. Cold DMs with a value-first approach
Not spam. Find 10 people per day who match your ideal customer, and send them something genuinely useful — a free resource, specific feedback on their business, or a relevant insight. 80% won't respond. The 20% who do become your first customers.
3. Building in public on X/Twitter
Share your journey, your numbers, your experiments. People buy from people they feel connected to. This builds trust at scale before you ever ask for a sale.
The pattern: all three are free, all three compound over time, and all three force you to actually understand your customer.
Inside MoneyLab, we go way deeper on each of these — real experiments, real numbers, real strategies tested every week by members building their first online income.
