Musicians pour everything into their craft — late nights, equipment money, years of practice — then wonder why they can't get traction. The issue usually isn't talent.

Here's what I've seen hold people back:

1. Perfection paralysis. Waiting for the mix to be perfect before releasing. The track from 6 months ago would've connected. The one you're still tweaking won't.

2. Isolation. Making music alone, posting into the void, wondering why it doesn't spread. Distribution is about relationships, not algorithms.

3. No feedback loop. The people who grow fastest are the ones getting honest critique consistently — not yes-men, not trolls, but peers who actually know the craft.
