Hey beautiful people 🌸

I just wanted to pop in and share something I've been quietly building — and I think a lot of you are going to love it.

ND Haven is now live! 🎉

It's a website I created as a safe, calm space for neurodivergent women, esp women of color — because we deserve resources that actually see us.

Right now the shop has 11 printable coloring books — adult ADHD relaxation books with Afrocentric designs, mandalas, and botanical patterns, plus children's books featuring Black girls with natural hair for our little ones who need calming activities too.

Coloring is genuinely one of the most accessible nervous system regulation tools out there — no special skills, no explanation needed. Just color, breathe, and come back to yourself. 🍂

Each book is $6.39 and your download link never expires, so you can print whenever you need it.

👉 — come explore and let me know what you think!

I built this for us, and I'd love for this community to be the first to experience it. Share it with a sister, a friend, a mom — anyone who could use a little calm in their life. 🤎

Drop a comment below if you check it out 💛

Alright... be honest.

When your brain says, "I've had ENOUGH!"...

Are you:

🤐 Team Quiet Crash out
(You disappear, shut down, cry in silence, and suddenly nobody can find you.)

OR

🌪️ Team Loud Crash out
(Everybody finna know today ain't the day. 😅)

And here's the million-dollar question...

Why do you think that's your default response?

No judgment—we're just trying to understand our beautiful brains a little better. 💜

💜 Let me share something real with y’all…

Before I got my diagnosis, there were moments where even the people closest to me didn’t fully understand what was happening with me.

My husband thought I was just being “that way” sometimes… and honestly, I couldn’t even explain it because I didn’t understand it myself.

I didn’t know about ADHD. I didn’t understand how my brain worked. I just knew I was overwhelmed, frustrated, emotional, and struggling with things that seemed so simple for everyone else.

Looking back now, I realize a little understanding can go a LONG way.

A little research can change the way someone sees you.

A little therapy can help you unpack things you didn’t even realize you were carrying.

And having people in your life who are willing to learn, grow, and understand you on this journey? That matters.

Because this journey isn’t just about getting a diagnosis… it’s about learning yourself, healing, and creating a life that actually fits who you are.

Now listen… everybody isn’t going to understand overnight. Growth takes time.

BUT…

If someone refuses to learn.
If someone refuses to listen.
If someone refuses to grow with you while you’re doing the work to understand yourself…

Baby… that’s a different conversation. 💜

Your support system should want to understand you, not constantly make you feel like you’re the problem.

Finding yourself is a journey.

The people meant to walk with you will be willing to learn along the way. 🦋

What's your biggest sensory "nope" right now? it can be anything...

my biggest nope is when people start yelling at me or big cockroaches.

Hey my ND family 💜,

I decided to share a little bit of my day with y'all because I never want this space to be only about the good days.

The truth is, I have amazing days... and I have really hard days too.

Today was one of the hard ones.

I got overwhelmed, I raised my voice, I was cussing, I was frustrated, and honestly, I was scared by how quickly everything boiled over. I tried so hard not to explode, but I felt like a ticking time bomb that had been holding too much in for too long.

After my crash-outs, I usually feel some relief, but then comes the guilt.

Today, I snapped at someone I love deeply. I said things I wish I hadn't said and reacted in ways I'm not proud of. Now I have to do what I've done many times before—take accountability, apologize, and work on repairing the hurt I caused.

One thing I've learned is that being neurodivergent may explain some of my struggles, but it doesn't excuse how I treat the people I love. Growth requires accountability, even on the days when it's uncomfortable.

Lately I've been thinking about finding an anger management class or some additional tools to help me better manage these moments before they get to this point.

I'm not sharing this because I'm proud of it.

I'm sharing it because healing isn't always pretty.

I'm not perfect. I'm learning. I'm growing. Some days I get it right, and some days I don't.

Today felt like a setback.

But tomorrow is a new day, another opportunity to do better, communicate better, and show up better than I did today.

If you've ever had a day where you weren't your best self, just know you're not alone.

Give yourself grace, take accountability where it's needed, and keep moving forward.

That's the work. 💜
