Why 90% of people get trash results from ChatGPT
Most people type something like "write me an email" and wonder why the output sounds like a robot wrote it.
The problem isn't AI. It's the prompt.
Here's what actually moves the needle:
Give it a role. Instead of "write an email," try "You are a senior copywriter at a DTC brand. Write a re-engagement email for lapsed customers."
Add constraints. "Keep it under 100 words. Use a casual, conversational tone. Include one question to drive replies."
Show it what good looks like. Paste an example of the kind of output you want and say "match this style."
These three things alone will 10x your results — whether you're using ChatGPT, Claude, or anything else.
I've been engineering prompts for the past year and packaged 50+ of my best ones into ready-to-use templates. They cover content creation, image generation, marketing, coding, and more.
