Stop asking AI to 'write a caption.' That's why it sounds like everyone else.

Most people open ChatGPT, type "write me an Instagram caption for my product," and then wonder why it sounds like a robot who has never sold anything.

The model is not the problem. The prompt is.

Every usable writing prompt I keep has three parts:

  1. Role — who is speaking (freelance copywriter, not "helpful assistant").

  2. Constraint — length, offer, audience, what they must not say.

  3. Proof — one real detail: a price, a result, a specific pain.

Example:

You are a direct-response copywriter. Write a 90-word email for freelance designers who keep undercharging. Product: a $19 AI prompt pack. Mention they already spend 2 hours staring at a blank Google Doc. Do not use the words unlock, game-changer, or leverage.

Same model. Completely different output.

If you write for clients or for your own pages, save that structure. One good prompt beats a folder of 200 vague ones.
