Your kid says "I can't do it." Here's what's actually happening in their brain.
When a child says "I can't do it," most parents respond with encouragement: "Yes you can!"
But here's the thing — their brain isn't asking for a pep talk. It's running a program.
What's really happening:
Their brain made a mental picture of failing
That picture triggered a feeling (anxiety, frustration)
The feeling became words: "I can't"
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) teaches us that the sequence matters: picture → feeling → words.
Change the picture, and the words change on their own.
Instead of "Yes you can!" try: "What would it look like if you could?"
That one question asks their brain to build a new picture. A picture of success. And the feeling follows.
This is just one of dozens of simple tools inside NLPLI5. Every lesson is a short animated whiteboard video the whole family can watch together — no jargon, no therapy-speak, just clear explanations of how your mind works.
If this clicked for you, the full program is waiting. 🧠
