A heavyweight 400gsm blank costs the factory around $18–$25. Dye, cut, sew, hangtag. The rest of the $180 is campaign photos, a waiting list, and the feeling you "got in."

If you're 18–28 and you actually wear the clothes, that math is brutal. You don't need another logo. You need weight, drape, and a silhouette that doesn't look like a souvenir.

What I look at before I source a drop:

• GSM / fabric weight. Under 300gsm is a fashion tee pretending to be a hoodie.

• Shoulder and sleeve cut. Boxy is easy to fake. A clean set-in sleeve is not.

• Colorfastness. Cheap black turns gray after four washes.

• Shipping time. If a supplier quotes 20 days, I skip it. Drops die in transit.
