Think of it like a paid apprenticeship. The skill reps and mentorship you get in year one are worth more than the pay bump you'd get staying in hospital nursing.

3. Certifications matter less than you think, training matters more.

A weekend Botox cert gets your foot in the door. But the nurses who advance fastest are the ones who invest in ongoing training, attend masterclasses, and practice on models relentlessly.

4. Build your personal brand early.

Even before you land your first aesthetics role, start documenting your journey. Clinics want to hire nurses who bring clients, and your Instagram/TikTok presence can be the difference between getting hired and getting ghosted.

5. Network with clinic owners, not just other nurses.

Join aesthetic medicine communities. Go to industry events. The hiring pipeline in cosmetic nursing is 80% connections, 20% applications.
