Where the vig actually hides.

A standard spread at -110 / -110 holds about 4.5%. A player prop at -120 / -110 holds 6.5%. Put three of those prop legs into a parlay and the book is holding 18.2%.

Most people bet props. Almost nobody de-vigs them.

That is arithmetic, not an opinion - every number on this card can be recomputed from the odds themselves. Oddcraft strips the vig out of every market before anything gets called an edge, props included.

One spread, six books. -115 at the worst, -102 at the best - and they are not even on the same number.

At -115 you risk $115 to win $100. At -102 you risk $102. Same side, same game, same outcome, $13 apart. It moves your breakeven from 53.5% to 50.5%.
