I’m a medical student — not a qualified doctor, not a therapist, not a psychiatrist. I built this toolkit by studying the evidence on burnout, shift-work recovery, and boundary psychology, and by spending time on clinical placements watching what actually happens to healthcare workers.

This is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you’re in crisis, please contact your GP, your trust’s occupational health service, or a crisis line.

What this IS: a structured, evidence-informed daily system to help you recover between shifts, set boundaries, and track your burnout before it becomes a crisis. Think of it as the recovery protocol nobody gave you during orientation.

Who This Is For

•       You work clinical shifts (any length, any rotation pattern)

•       You’re exhausted but not ready to quit — you want to find a way to stay without destroying yourself

•       You’ve tried generic self-care advice and found it useless for your schedule

•       You want something you can use in 15 minutes, not a 6-week programme

•       You’re a nurse, junior doctor, paramedic, midwife, HCA, radiographer, or any frontline healthcare worker

Who This is NOT For

•       You’re currently in a mental health crisis (please reach out to a professional — this toolkit is for ongoing recovery, not crisis intervention)

•       You’re looking for a medical diagnosis or clinical treatment plan

•       You want someone to tell you to quit your job (this is a recovery tool, not an exit strategy — though the e-book includes a decision framework)

•       You’re a manager looking for a team-wide programme (this is for the individual, not the institution)

So, what is the Shift Recovery System Bundle?

Well, here's the answer:

You sat in the car park before your shift last week and genuinely considered driving home.

You’re snapping at people you love on your days off. You can’t remember the last time you slept through the night without your brain replaying the shift. You used to care deeply about every patient — now you’re just counting the seconds until handover.

That’s not weakness. That’s a nervous system running on empty with zero recovery protocol. And the advice you’ve been given — meditate, take a bath, practise gratitude — was written by someone who has never worked a 12-hour night shift in their life.

This is different. The Shift Recovery System was built by a medical student who has been on the ward, studied the neuroscience of burnout, and designed a structured daily recovery protocol specifically for people who work shifts.

What’s inside:

•       A Notion-based daily recovery system that takes 15 minutes (works on your phone during break or after handover)

•       A burnout self-assessment dashboard adapted from validated clinical tools

•       12 copy-paste boundary scripts for saying no to extra shifts, talking to charge nurses, and protecting your days off

•       Shift-specific sleep recalibration protocols for day shift, night shift, and rotation changeovers

•       A shift debrief tool that helps you process what happened and leave it at work

•       A “Return to Purpose” module — not toxic positivity, real reflection prompts that reconnect you to why you started

The result: Measurable relief within your first week. Not a 6-week course. Not a 200-page book. A system you open on your phone and use today.

Get it now. Use it before your next shift.
