3 onchain signals most traders miss (and how to spot them)
Most crypto traders are still staring at candlestick charts on centralized exchanges while the real alpha is happening onchain. Here's what to actually pay attention to:
1. Whale wallet accumulation
When wallets holding 100+ ETH start quietly accumulating a token over 48-72 hours, that's usually not random. Track the top 100 holders of any token you're watching. If 5+ are adding, something's brewing.
2. DEX volume spikes before CEX listings
Tokens that see 3-5x their average daily DEX volume often get listed on a major CEX within 2-4 weeks. The smart money knows before the announcement.
3. Bridge activity between chains
When capital flows from Ethereum to an L2 spike dramatically, it usually means a major protocol launch or airdrop is incoming on that chain. Follow the money.
These aren't signals that guarantee profits — nothing does. But they're the kind of edges that separate traders who make money from traders who chase green candles.
If this is how you think about markets, Onchain Alpha is a community built for people exactly like you.
