5 things you should try before calling tech support

Most tech issues have the same root causes. Before you spend money on a repair, try these:

1. Restart everything. Seriously. Your router, your computer, your phone. 90% of "it's broken" problems are fixed by a fresh restart.

2. Check your Wi-Fi signal. If your internet feels slow, walk closer to the router. If it speeds up, the problem is range — not your ISP. A $30 range extender fixes this instantly.

3. Clear your browser cache. Websites acting weird? Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data. Do it monthly.

4. Update your software. That "update later" button you keep hitting? Those updates patch security holes and fix bugs. Stop ignoring them.

5. Google the exact error message. Copy-paste the error into Google with quotes around it. Someone else has had the same problem — guaranteed.

Still stuck? That's what we're here for. $20 gets you a 1-on-1 session with a real tech expert who'll fix it with you.
