Delivery apps are charging you rent on your own kitchen

Most Algerian restaurants I sit with have the same stack:

WhatsApp for the floor. A delivery app for “visibility.” A notebook or a second phone for the kitchen.

That stack is expensive.

The delivery app takes 20–30% of an order you already cooked. WhatsApp mixes friends, complaints, and tickets in one thread — so the kitchen hears “two chicken, no sauce” three times, or not at all. By Friday night the owner is the router.

You do not need another app to babysit. You need three pipes that you own:

  1. A QR menu so the table does not wait on a waiter with a paper card that is already wrong.

  2. Direct ordering so the customer pays you, not a marketplace that then pays you minus rent.

  3. A kitchen ticket that is not a voice note. One order, one ticket, one pass.

If your WhatsApp is the POS, you are already running software. You just don’t own it, and you pay 25% for the privilege.

That is the problem ORA RESTAURANT OS is built to kill. Not a monthly SaaS. You buy the system. You run the floor.
