3 things I wish I knew when I started playing padel
Padel is the fastest-growing sport in the world right now, and for good reason — it's addictive. But most beginners make the same mistakes that hold them back for months.
1. Stop swinging like it's tennis. Padel is about control, not power. The walls are your friend. Use them. A soft lob that forces your opponent into the back wall beats a hard smash 9 times out of 10.
2. Position > everything. If you're not at the net, you're losing. The game is won in the first 3 meters of the court. Get comfortable there.
3. Find people to play with consistently. Solo practice only gets you so far. The real improvement comes from playing with people slightly better than you, regularly.
That's exactly why I built Padel Hub — a community where players of all levels connect, find matches, share tips, and compete in tournaments. If you're serious about getting better, come through.
