Why most YouTubers are leaving views on the table
The average YouTube video gets 90% of its total views in the first 48 hours. After that, it's basically dead — unless you repurpose it.
One 10-minute video can become 5-10 short-form clips for TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. Each one is a new chance to reach a completely different audience that would never find your channel otherwise.
The creators I've worked with typically see a 2-3x bump in subscriber growth once they start posting clips consistently. Not because the clips go viral every time — but because they show up in more feeds, more often.
The biggest mistake I see: waiting until you have "enough" subscribers to start clipping. The best time to start repurposing is right now, with whatever content you already have.
If you're sitting on long-form videos and not clipping them, you're leaving free growth on the table.
