The one thing most guys get wrong about their haircut

It's not the style. It's the upkeep.

Most guys get a great cut, then come back 6-8 weeks later looking like they've been living in the woods. By week 3, you've already lost the shape.

Here's what actually matters if you want your cut to hold:

1. Know your grow-out window. For tight fades, that's 2-3 weeks max. For longer styles, 4-6 weeks. Book your next appointment before you leave the chair.

2. Use the right product for your hair type. Thick hair needs hold. Fine hair needs volume. Using the wrong product is like putting the wrong fuel in a car — it technically works, but not the way it should.

3. Wash less. Sounds counterintuitive, but over-washing strips the natural oils that give your hair texture and manageability. 3-4 times a week is plenty for most people.

We run a VIP membership at Patrick's for customers who want priority booking and member discounts. Less waiting, more consistency.
