5 Pieces of Gear That Actually Changed My Workouts (No BS)
Been training for 8+ years and I've wasted money on a LOT of useless gym accessories. Here's what actually made a difference:
1. A proper massage gun — Not the $30 Amazon one that dies in a week. A real percussion device with adjustable speeds changed my recovery completely. I went from needing 2 rest days between leg sessions to 1.
2. Resistance bands (the thick ones) — I used to think these were for rehab only. Wrong. Adding band work to my warm-ups eliminated my shoulder pain from pressing. Game changer for anyone doing overhead work.
3. A smart water bottle — Sounds gimmicky. It's not. The temperature display + hydration reminders actually got me to drink enough water. Dehydration was killing my performance and I didn't even know it.
4. Adjustable wrist/ankle weights — For walks, bodyweight circuits, and active recovery days. The adjustable ones let you start light and progress. Way more versatile than fixed weights.
5. A gym bag with actual compartments — Wet pocket for sweaty clothes, separate shoe section, USB port for charging. Small upgrade that made getting to the gym way less annoying.
All of these are things I personally use and now sell at PeakForm Supply. Built this store specifically for people who take training seriously and want gear that doesn't suck.
