I made R4,200 in 3 weeks selling PDFs from my phone — here's the exact process
Most students think you need a laptop, a fancy website, and startup capital to make money online. You don't.
I started with nothing but a cracked-screen Samsung and mobile data. Here's what actually works:
1. Pick a problem your classmates have.
Don't overthink this. Study notes, CV templates, budget trackers, assignment planners — stuff people actually need RIGHT NOW.
2. Create it on your phone.
Canva mobile + Google Docs. That's it. Spend 2-3 hours making something genuinely useful. Not pretty — useful.
3. Price it stupid cheap.
R29-R49. Your first product isn't about profit. It's about proof. Once you have 10 buyers, you have a business. Once you have 50 buyers, you have momentum.
4. Sell it where students already are.
WhatsApp statuses. Instagram stories. University group chats. Don't build an audience — tap into one that already exists.
5. Reinvest into your next product.
Your first R500 funds your second product. Your second product funds your third. By product 3, you know exactly what sells.
The hardest part isn't the product. It's believing a phone is enough. It is.
I teach this entire system step by step inside Phone to Profit.
