The one design habit that separates beginners from pros
Beginners tend to add more — more colors, more fonts, more effects — to make a design feel "finished." Pros do the opposite: they remove until only what matters is left.
Next time you're designing something, try this: once you think it's done, cut one element. A border, a gradient, an extra font weight. Then look again. More often than not, it's better.
